Native Plants
It's becoming more popular to landscape with native plants. They are well adapted and hardy ... and beautiful!
Restoration jobs also call for native plants such as beach grass for erosion control.

Thrives under conditions of shifting sand, and high winds; it is a dune-building grass that builds the first line of sand dunes along the coast.

This grass usually grows in coastal habitat, especially on dunes. It can be an important part of dune ecology.


A versatile shrub that can be used in woodland gardens or shrub borders, as a screen or informal hedge, in wet or shady sites, or on a bank for erosion control. Salt tolerance makes it appropriate for locations near roads that are salted in winter. Bayberry essential oil, extracted from the aromatic leaves, is used to scent many products. The berries can be used to make bayberry wax candles.

Great for Butterfly gardens, meadows, prairies, or naturalized/native plant areas. Grows in average well-drained soils in full sun. Drought tolerant.

Blue flag grows from 60 to 90 centimetres tall at maturity. Several showy, purple-blue blooms appear from the end of May to early July. The Blue flag grows in wet areas of woods and meadows and along shorelines of lakes, rivers and ponds

Labrador tea has been used historically and in folk medicine for a variety of ailments, including skin complaints and colds.

This small northern shrub has very showy flowers that open before or with its leaves.It thrives in moist, shady landscapes and is perfect for grouping. It is a great nectar source for a host of butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects.

Red Baneberry is grown in shade gardens for its attractive berries and upright clump forming habit.They are found growing in shady areas with moist to wet soils. The berries however are poisonous. Native Americans used the juice from the fruits of various baneberry species to poison arrows, but used the root as a herbal remedy for menstrual problems.

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Adaptable plant that tolerates wet conditions and wind (including sheltered seashore areas), drought and a wide range of soils (prefers sandy, acidic loams, but tolerates poor soils).

We have a wide variety of beautiful ornamentals.
We have a particular love for ornamemtal grasses and we are slowly building up the inventory. Brighten your gardens with grasses!

Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster' provides wonderful contrast amongst low shrubs and perennials. One of the first grasses to start growing in the spring and an early bloomer. Likes full sun, moist to wet fertile soil but will tolerate a wide range of soil types including dry sandy soil and clay soil.

Highly ornamental grass for use in perennial borders. Green blades striped with creamy white continues a colorful display through summer, perfect for edging or groundcover. dainty spikes of gold flowers rise above the foliage, late summer to fall.




Among the best border perennials available. Plants make a bushy, upright clump with a profuse display of brown-eyed, golden-orange daisies from midsummer through the fall.

This geranium cultivar is a clump-forming perennial which spreads by rhizomes to form a dense ground cover that chokes out most weeds. Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.

Forms a dense clump of grassy green foliage, with upright stems of fragrant, golden-yellow trumpet flowers. Compact habit. Excellent for massing, edging, borders or in containers.

This variety was selected for its compact habit and resistance to powdery mildew.

A tall, vigorous, long blooming bee balm with enormous red blooms and fragrant foliage. Perfect for the back of any planting, it provides nectar for butterflies and hummingbirds, seed for birds and cover for wildlife. SOLD OUT UNTIL SPRING
